I'm New Here
Things you may want to know

We can't wait to meet you! We know visiting a new church can come with a few questions, so we've answered some of the common ones below to help make your first visit to The Lamp Church as smooth as possible.

Location and Logistics

Where do you meet?

We currently hold our Sunday worship services at Potomac Senior High School. We meet in the main auditorium.

Where do I park, and how do I enter the building?

When you arrive, look for directional signs that will guide you to the designated student parking area

You will enter the building through Door #3. Just follow the signs.

What time does the service start, and how long does it last?

Our worship service begins at 11:15 AM and typically lasts about 75-90 minutes. The doors will be opened at 10:45, we recommend arriving a few minutes early to fellowship and to get settled!

Worship Service and Atmosphere

What is the worship service like?

Our service includes praise and worship, biblical text focused sermon, a time for sermon reflection, and a time for prayer. Our goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere where you can grow in your relationship with God, increase your understand of His Word, and fellowship with and be encouraged by fellow believers.

What should I wear?

Please come as you are! You'll see everything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual attire. Our focus is on worship, not on what you're wearing, so just be comfortable.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

Absolutely not. While we'd love for you to introduce yourself, you will not be asked to stand up, say anything, or wear a special badge. We welcome you to introduce yourself and engage with questions and reflections, but there's no pressure!

For Families

Are kids welcome?

Yes! We love having children as part of The Lamp Church.

Is there a children's ministry?

Not yet! As a new church, we don't currently offer a separate children's ministry or nursery, but we plan to launch one as we grow.

For now, children are highly encouraged to attend the main service with you. We believe this is a great opportunity for them to worship and hear the Bible taught. We welcome their questions and reflections during or after the message!
